How We Test

Honesty about method matters more than a long list of claims. Here is exactly how we evaluate products, and what we do and do not yet measure ourselves.

What we do today

• Source real specifications from live manufacturer and retailer listings, and record the date we confirmed each figure.
• Build comparison databases so models can be judged on the same fields, not on marketing language.
• Calculate ownership costs such as price per bag and warranty length, which often matter more than sticker price.
• Reason from product class and specification to match each model to the job it genuinely suits.

What we are still building

Hands-on wear testing with measured seal strength, cycle time, and noise is being rolled out cluster by cluster. Until a specific measurement is complete and dated, we do not publish it, and we do not imply testing we have not done. When a pick rests on published specs rather than our own bench results, we say so on the page.

What we never do

We do not invent specifications, fabricate test results, or claim to have tested products we have only researched. A blank cell in a database means we could not confirm the number, and we would rather show that than fill it with a guess.
